Set Up Client Portals

Client portals are read-only views your clients get into their project status. Every plan includes unlimited portals.

What a client sees

When a client signs in to their portal, they see:

  • Project status — current phase, percent complete, upcoming milestones
  • Invoices — paid and outstanding (if your firm enabled this in Data Visibility)
  • Satisfaction Pulse — a quick rating tool to send you feedback
  • Documents shared with them — coming soon

Clients cannot see other clients' data, your firm's financial details, or anything you haven't explicitly enabled in Data Visibility.

Where to configure

Portal defaults live at Settings → Client Portals:

  • Default template — Owner / Developer, Architect, Engineer, or Contractor. Each template highlights the fields that client type cares about most.
  • Satisfaction frequency — Weekly / Bi-weekly / Monthly / Disabled.
  • Show invoices — toggle the invoice section on or off firm-wide.

These are defaults. You can override them per-client when you share portal access (coming soon).

"View as client" preview

Before sharing a portal link, click View as client in Settings → Client Portals to see exactly what they'll see. This uses your firm's data but renders the client-facing UI so you can verify nothing sensitive leaks.
